Description

The BT - CoeX - Test Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through rigorous testing practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in software testing methodologies and will be skilled in both manual and automated testing.

Responsibilities

Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various applications.
Perform functional, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing.
Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality-related issues.
Automate test scripts using industry-standard testing tools and frameworks.
Prepare detailed test reports and metrics for stakeholders.

Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
1-6 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and processes.
Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for automation purposes.
Knowledge of SQL and database testing.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
