Description

The BT - CoeX - Test Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through rigorous testing practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in software testing methodologies and will be skilled in both manual and automated testing.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various applications.
  • Perform functional, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality-related issues.
  • Automate test scripts using industry-standard testing tools and frameworks.
  • Prepare detailed test reports and metrics for stakeholders.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1-6 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and processes.
  • Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for automation purposes.
  • Knowledge of SQL and database testing.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
