Job Description:

KPIT Technologies is looking for a highly skilled BSP Developer to join our engineering team in Bangalore. This role is intended for professionals with 5 to 15 years of experience in developing Board Support Packages (BSP) for embedded systems, specifically focusing on Android, QNX, and Linux operating systems. You will work with hardware platforms such as Qualcomm (QCOM) and Samsung SOCs. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of operating system internals, device drivers, and hardware bring-up procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Board Support Packages (BSP) for Android, QNX, and Linux operating systems.
• Work on Qualcomm (QCOM) and Samsung SOC platforms, ensuring smooth hardware integration and OS functionality.
• Develop device drivers, facilitate system bring-up, and ensure seamless OS-hardware interaction.
• Use debugging and troubleshooting tools such as GDB, JTAG, and serial console to diagnose and resolve system issues.
• Optimize system performance and assist in hardware validation during the bring-up process.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using languages like Python and Perl for improved workflow.
• Use version control systems like Git and SVN to manage and maintain code.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years and up to 15 years of experience in BSP development, specifically for Android, QNX, or Linux operating systems.
• Strong experience with Qualcomm (QCOM) and Samsung SOC platforms.
• In-depth understanding of operating system internals, device drivers, and board bring-up procedures.
• Expertise in C, C++, and scripting languages such as Python and Perl.
• Experience with version control systems like Git and SVN.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills using tools such as GDB, JTAG, and serial console.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
