Role Purpose
We are seeking an experienced Linux Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have
strong technical skills and experience in managing and supporting Linux Servers including new server
provisioning, Hardening, patching in day-to-day operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure that appropriate space is available in the Operating system.
- Regular proactive purging of Log files as per the CUSTOMER Security Policy. The frequency as
well as the files to be purged has to be recommended by the Customer Security
- Implement Proactive patch upgrades, if any, recommendation from RHEL
- Performance monitoring as per the mutually agreed metrics between Customer and HP using the
tool made available by Customer.
- End to end coordination with the Red hat, HP backend & Customer teams for the
proactive patches/OS patches/upgrades, Firmware updates, Installation/reinstallation,
configuration/reconfiguration, corrective & preventive maintenance as per the terms
Mentioned in the SLA.
- Proper follow-up for Incident/Change management as per the defined policy by CUSTOMER
- Monitor the Operating system logs for any errors in the operating system and escalate,
Accordingly. The reporting from the tool provided by CUSTOMER hasto be tuned by the tool
owner as Per recommendation by HP team.
- Needful Handover & Takeover ofshift switching
- Basic understanding on Redhat cluster Suite Pacemaker, RHEV
12 Basic understanding on ldap., NFS, user management, permission, Automation with Ansible skill
- OS installation and configuration related to network and application.
Technical Skills/Knowledge Requirement
- Redhat Linux installation and basic troubleshooting (Must)
- OS hardening process (must)
- Security patching implementation and process flow (Must)
- Sudo Access and ACL (Must)
- OS migration in place and side by side.
