Job Profile:

As part of the Broadcast Operations team, the Broadcast Operator (BO) plays a critical role in ensuring the continuity, stability, and quality of Amagis Broadcast services.

The Amagi Managed Services (AMMO) function is focused on delivering an unsurpassed service experience to our customers, and Broadcast Operators are fundamental to achieving this objective. Broadcast Operators are responsible for the smooth day-to-day operation of live services, proactively monitoring, identifying, and resolving issues to minimise service disruption. Strong communication skills, a customer-first mindset, and exceptional attention to detail are essential, as the role requires effective interaction across multiple stakeholders and operational levels.

The Broadcast Operator is expected to lead by example, consistently delivering high-quality service and operational excellence for Amagi customers. The role requires a solid understanding of Broadcast Services, Automation, and the various customer use cases it supports. Working closely with internal teams, customers, and external vendors, the Broadcast Operator ensures seamless service delivery and rapid issue resolution. Through collaboration, technical awareness, and proactive problem-solving, the operator contributes directly to Amagis commitment to outstanding customer service and service excellence.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Effective monitoring and management of Amagi Broadcast Services. Follow documented processes and SOPs to ensure a fault-free service for our customers.
  • Operational support of equipment and systems, taking redundancy measures or strategies to maintain service output in the event of faults or breakdowns, and to escalate second-line support procedures when appropriate.
  • Communicate fault conditions in a timely manner to staff, customers, and service suppliers. This includes escalations to management, support engineers, and the customer, as detailed in the escalation procedures.
  • Liaison with various service providers and external parties, providing a technical coordination role in service-impacting situations and other emergencies.
  • When required, provide input into incident reviews and provide recommendations for consequential change to systems or operational procedures.
  • When required, attend meetings to review operational matters, providing input and recommendations toward the process of continual improvement.
  • Maintain a secure working environment in line with the requirements of Amagi Policies to protect individuals, information, and Amagi Assets.

  • At least 1 - 5 years of live broadcast experience. Working in an operator capacity for recognised Broadcast & Media Services.
  • Experienced in using live broadcast equipment (i.e. talkback intercom, transport stream analyser)
  • Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Understanding of broadcast & media technologies and associated workflows.
  • Interest in Broadcast operations and associated technology as applied to broadcasting, TV, satellite, cable, OTT, and social media.
  • Entry-level understanding of IT processes and networking
