POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced SAP BRIM SOM Consultant to drive the design, configuration, implementation, and support of complex subscription and order management solutions. This role requires a strong techno-functional professional who can independently translate business objectives into scalable solutions while demonstrating deep expertise in Object-Oriented ABAP development. The ideal candidate will take ownership of technical and functional deliverables, ensuring robust integration across SAP and non-SAP landscapes within an agile environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Solution Design & Configuration: Execute functional configurations, design discussions, and end-to-end delivery of Subscription Order Management (SOM) features within SAP S/4HANA environments.
- Technical Engineering: Build and deliver complex technical designs, including custom OO-ABAP objects, enhancements, reports, conversions, and middleware interfaces to fulfill client requirements.
- Cross-Functional Integration: Serve as a core integration specialist connecting SOM with Convergent Charging (CC), Convergent Invoicing (CI), Customer Management (CM), and external ecosystems like Salesforce or e-invoicing platforms.
- Technical Mentorship: Provide functional and technical guidance to team members, perform code reviews, manage transport versioning, and resolve critical technical defects or incidents.
TECHNICAL & FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS (MANDATORY)
- Core SAP BRIM SOM Expertise: Solid hands-on experience with Business Partner (BP) master data setups (roles like FLCU01, MKK), Provider Orders, Provider Contracts, Master Agreements, and Mass Runs.
- Subscription Product Modeling: Strong capability in handling product modeling configurations utilizing PMEVC, ALE, and simulation tools.
- Contract Lifecycle Management: Practical experience managing Order Distribution Infrastructure (ODI) and Business Transaction Management Framework (BTMF) contract change processes.
- Advanced Technical Skills: Deep proficiency in Object-Oriented ABAP, BADIs, user exits, enhancements, CRM Middleware, and interface landscapes.
- SAP SD Integration: Thorough functional understanding of standard SAP Sales & Distribution (SD) processes and Order-to-Cash (O2C) lifecycles.
PREFERRED / GOOD-TO-HAVE SKILLS
- SAP CRM Understanding: Foundational familiarity with SAP CRM Web UI configurations, Action Profiles, Post Processing Framework (PPF), and core CRM objects (Leads, Opportunities, Service Orders).
- Automation & Workflows: Ability to design, configure, and troubleshoot custom SAP Workflow developments.
- Upgrades & Cutovers: Previous experience supporting S/4HANA system upgrades (e.g., 2020 to 2023) and participating in critical cutover execution during go-lives.
