Role Overview:

As a Brand Strategist at 8Spades, you will play a key role in translating client briefs into clear communication strategies and content directions. You will work closely with account management, creative, and performance teams to ensure that all brand communication is strategically grounded, creatively strong, and effectively executed. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking, creative contribution, and execution discipline.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategy & Client Understanding

- Collaborate with the account servicing team to understand client briefs and business objectives

- Develop campaign and communication strategies aligned with client goals

- Act as a key point of contact for client requirements, ensuring clarity and alignment

2. Communication & Content Planning

- Create monthly content calendars based on approved brand and campaign strategies

- Develop concepts and write copy for daily (BAU) and campaign-driven content

- Ensure all communication is aligned with the brand's voice, audience, and objectives

3. Creative Contribution

- Contribute to brainstorming sessions for campaigns, brand communication, and content ideas

- Provide creative inputs and directions to design and content teams

- Stay updated on social media trends and platform updates, and translate them into relevant content ideas

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Work closely with design, video, and performance marketing teams to ensure seamless execution

- Synthesise information across teams and ensure that communication is clear and actionable

- Optimise workflows and processes to improve efficiency and output quality

5. Client Communication & Presentation

- Present ideas, strategies, and content plans to clients with minimal supervision

- Address client feedback and ensure it is effectively incorporated into deliverables

- Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication

6. Execution & Delivery

- Ensure timely delivery of all assigned tasks and campaigns

- Maintain high standards of quality across all outputs

- Track and manage deliverables through Job Status Reports (JSRs) to ensure smooth coordination

7. Consumer & Market Understanding

- Develop a strong understanding of the target audience and category dynamics

- Ensure content and communication are relevant, insight-driven, and effective in driving engagement and performance

Skills & Requirements:

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Excellent time management and organisational abilities

- High attention to detail and quality

- Strong client servicing and stakeholder management skills

- Basic to intermediate presentation skills

- Understanding of copywriting and content creation

- Ability to translate strategy into actionable communication

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets

- Familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Slides, Drive)
