About The Role

You'll be the person who captures our founder around and turns what they do into content people actually want to watch. That means- you'll own the founder's Instagram and figure out how to make it grow without making it feel like a corporate page. Some days you'll be on-ground shooting in between of events. Other days you'll be editing alone because something happened and we need to post.

Now, if that sounds terrible to you, this probably isn't the right fit.

Day To Day, You'll Be Doing This

  • Shadow the founder: at events, panels, meetings, casual moments. You're always thinking about what's worth capturing.
  • Shoot and edit short-form video: reels, behind-the-scenes clips, talking head stuff, b-roll. You know what cuts fast and what keeps people watching.
  • Run the Instagram: post, engage, stay on top of comments and DMs, figure out what's working and double down on it.
  • Build and maintain a content calendar: not a bloated spreadsheet, but something real that actually guides what gets made and when.
  • Pitch ideas: proactively bring concepts, formats, series ideas. We don't want someone who waits to be told what to make.
  • Repurpose content across platforms: LinkedIn, Twitter/X, YouTube Shorts where it makes sense.

What We're Looking For

Ideally: You've done exactly this before, managed a founder or personal brand on Instagram, grown an account from scratch or meaningfully scaled an existing one. You can point us to it.

If not: You breathe Instagram. You understand the algorithm not because you read a newsletter about it but because you spend hours on the app and you feel it. You've made content for yourself, a friend, anyone and it shows.

Must Haves

  • Comfortable shooting with a phone and/or camera. You know angles, lighting basics.
  • Fast editor. CapCut, Premiere, you're not precious about tools, you just get it done.
  • Good instincts for story. You know that a 30-second clip needs a hook, a middle, and a payoff.
  • Can write copy which is captions, hooks, short punchy text on video.
