Job Description

Job Purpose:

  • Facilitate acquisition of new current account customers in the branch.
  • Drive activation and value build-up in newly acquired customer portfolio.
  • Enhance wallet share through cross-selling business and personal banking products.

Job Responsibilities

1. Acquisition and Value Build-Up

  • Achieve new acquisition value and number plan for retail current accounts.
  • Deliver on acquisition model targets (value/product mix).
  • Drive value enhancement from handled portfolio.

2. Portfolio Management

  • Monitor health of retail current account portfolio: onboarding, activation, value build-up, AQB maintenance.
  • Understand customer business and create detailed customer profiles.
  • Maintain continuous engagement through visits, calls, and proactive query resolution.
  • Monitor balances to reduce attrition.

3. Product and Market Penetration

  • Use profile-based selling to cross-sell value-added products/services.
  • Acquire NTB liability customers via referrals from portfolio customers.
  • Support branch in catchment profiling and lead generation activities.
  • Conduct joint sales activities with asset teams.
  • Monitor current account sourcing by branch-linked sales officers.
  • Drive penetration of SB, FD, RD, and digital products to current account holders.

4. Customer Engagement

  • Act on central triggers and initiatives focused on value build-up, cross-sell, and portfolio monitoring.

5. Product Customization

  • Liaise with central product team to ensure appropriate product fitment.
  • Provide product team with inputs on competition, market segmentation, and portfolio quality.
  • Customize current account offerings to client requirements, including payment and collection solutions.

6. Operations

  • Ensure forms and documentation are completed correctly and processed within TAT.

Educational Qualifications

  • Graduation: Mandatory
  • Post-Graduation: Preferred
  • Certifications:
  • NISM V-A (Mandatory)
  • IRDA (Mandatory)
  • NCFM (Optional)
  • CAIIB (Optional)
  • Internal Certifications & GI Certification

Key Skills

  • Basic knowledge of banking products and services
  • Strong relationship management & presentation skills
  • Effective communication and influencing abilities
  • Sales and relationship management experience (preferably in banking or financial services)

Experience Required

  • Minimum 2 years of experience
  • Exposure to banking preferred
