The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall management and operational efficiency of the branch. Focus areas include acquiring new customers, enhancing the branch's book size, cross-selling various products, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and driving team productivity. The Branch Manager will lead initiatives to foster client relationships and improve operational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic / Managerial Responsibilities:
- Drive liability generation and new business development, specifically CASA acquisition.
- Promote cross-selling of third-party and asset products.
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers.
Core Responsibilities:
- Manage the profitability and balance sheet of the branch.
- Track daily productivity and book movement to ensure performance metrics are met.
- Onboard branch staff within budgetary constraints.
- Uphold YES Values and ensure commitment to work and standards.
- Provide clear roles and expectations to team members to manage attrition effectively.
- Keep the BEST template updated and ensure timely conduct of BELT sessions.
- Comply with bank policies and procedures.
- Organize customer engagement programs and marketing events.
- Lead employee engagement initiatives in the branch.
- Ensure operational knowledge for daily banking products and services.
- Communicate relevant information effectively to branch employees.
- Escalate business-impacting issues promptly and propose solutions.
- Ensure comprehensive compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Meet ISO 9001:2000 standards and continuously improve quality.
- Submit timely MIS reports and manage Service RM code allocations.
- Conduct monthly KYC/AML training and ensure proper implementation of CRM protocols.
People Management Responsibilities:
- Foster effective team management and build team spirit.
- Promote learning and skill development within the team.
Risk and Internal Control Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety and security of bank and customer assets.
- Meet audit deliverables as per regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate or Post Graduate degree, preferably an MBA from a recognized university or esteemed business school.
Professional Certifications:
- AMFI, NCFM, or IRDA certifications will be advantageous.
Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent networking and interpersonal capabilities.
- High sensitivity to confidentiality and compliance concerns.
- Strong sense of accountability and initiative.
- Good knowledge of regulatory guidelines.
