About the Role
We are looking for enthusiastic and detail-oriented Botany graduates who are interested in building a career in the healthcare industry as Medical Coders. The candidate will be responsible for reviewing medical records and converting diagnoses, treatments, and procedures into standardized medical codes used for billing and healthcare documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Review patient medical records and clinical documents.
- Assign accurate medical codes using ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Ensure coding compliance with healthcare regulations and insurance guidelines.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Work with healthcare providers and billing teams to clarify documentation when needed.
- Meet productivity and quality standards set by the organization.
- Stay updated with coding guidelines and healthcare regulations.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor's degree in Botany / Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Microbiology / Zoology / Nursing / Pharmacy or related fields.
- Freshers can apply.
- Basic understanding of human anatomy and medical terminology is preferred.
- Good analytical and communication skills.
- Willingness to work in a healthcare BPO or hospital environment.
- Knowledge of computers and MS Office.
Preferred Skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to learn medical terminology and coding systems quickly.
- Good typing and documentation skills.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
Training & Career Growth
- Training in ICD-10, CPT, and medical coding practices will be provided.
