Bookkeeping And VAT

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Bookkeeping and VAT Executive to join our team. This role involves providing essential accounting support to our UK-based clients by managing daily transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing VAT returns. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with UK accounting practices and be proficient with various accounting software.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily bookkeeping for UK-based clients using software like Xero, QuickBooks Online, Sage, or FreeAgent.
• Complete bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Post payroll journals and accruals.
• Prepare quarterly/monthly VAT returns and EC Sales Lists in line with HMRC regulations.
• Communicate and coordinate with UK clients and their teams via email or video calls.
• Ensure the timely and accurate processing of financial data.
• Assist with month-end closing activities and the preparation of management reports.
• Maintain proper documentation and an audit trail for all work.

Requirements

• B.Com/M.Com/CA Inter/ACCA (part-qualified or similar qualification).
• 13 years of experience in UK bookkeeping and VAT return preparation.
• Familiarity with UK VAT schemes (Standard Rate, Flat Rate, Margin Scheme, etc.) is an advantage.
