About The Role
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our finance team remotely. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of bookkeeping experience and possess a strong understanding of accounting principles. This role is vital in maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, and supporting financial reporting activities essential for our dynamic organization. As a Bookkeeper at SD Industries, LLC, you will collaborate closely with various departments to ensure the integrity of financial data, facilitate smooth financial operations, and contribute to the overall financial health of the company.
The position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to manage your responsibilities efficiently from any location. Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting or Finance, which is mandatory. A minimum of one year of hands-on bookkeeping or accounting experience is required, preferably within construction, manufacturing, or project-based industries. Candidates should have a solid understanding of bookkeeping principles and practical experience with accounting software, particularly QuickBooks Online or similar platforms. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and basic data analysis, is essential. Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities are critical for success in this role. The ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote setting is also required.
Preferred qualifications include experience in construction or manufacturing sectors, familiarity with invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, and a comprehensive understanding of financial processes within project-based environments.
Responsibilities
The core responsibilities of this role include managing daily bookkeeping activities such as data entry, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely updates. Regular bank and account reconciliations will be performed to verify data integrity and identify discrepancies. The Bookkeeper will assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and supporting documentation needed for audits or management review.
Ensuring compliance with internal accounting procedures and standards is vital. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather and verify financial data, resolving discrepancies promptly, and supporting the month-end and year-end closing processes. Additionally, the Bookkeeper will assist with invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, and other financial transactions necessary for smooth operations.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential to handle multiple tasks efficiently, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines. The ability to communicate effectively with team members and external stakeholders is also important to ensure clarity and accuracy in financial reporting.
