Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Book Designer located in Kolkata. The Book Designer will be responsible for designing and typesetting books, creating professional cover art, optimizing graphics for print and digital formats, and ensuring high-quality typography that aligns with publication standards. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with editors and authors to produce visually compelling and reader-friendly publications.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Typesetting, Typography, and an understanding of design principles
- Expertise in Book Design and Cover Art creation
- Skills in Graphics development and optimization for print and digital platforms
- Strong attention to detail and creativity in visual design
- Familiarity with publishing industry standards and tools such as Adobe InDesign and Photoshop
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field
- Prior experience in book design or a similar role is an advantage
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams
