Primary Title: Building Management Systems (BMS) Site Engineer
About The Opportunity
We operate in the commercial and industrial building services sector delivering turnkey HVAC controls, building automation, and smart-facility integrations across India. We install, commission, and maintain BMS solutions that ensure energy efficiency, occupant comfort, and regulatory compliance for corporate, retail, and industrial clients. This is a hybrid, field-focused site engineering role with regular travel to customer sites.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead on-site installation, wiring, panel assembly, and commissioning of BMS controllers, sensors, and field devices to project specifications.
- Execute FAT, SAT, loop checks, signal validation and functional testing; document results and drive timely closure of punch lists.
- Program and configure BMS workstations, front-end graphics, control logic, and BACnet/Modbus integrations to ensure system interoperability.
- Troubleshoot field and network issuesperform root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and coordinate with OEMs for component-level repairs.
- Prepare and maintain commissioning deliverables: wiring diagrams, I/O schedules, test reports, as-built drawings and Handover/Operational Manuals.
- Coordinate with project leads, subcontractors, and clients to ensure safety compliance, schedule adherence, and successful system handover.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- Diploma or B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Mechanical engineering.
- Proven hands-on experience in BMS site commissioning and field deployments for commercial or industrial projects.
- Strong working knowledge of BACnet and Modbus protocols and BMS integration best practices.
- Experience with commissioning processes: FAT, SAT, loop checks and test documentation.
- Proficiency in wiring, panel layout, field device calibration, and basic PLC/controller configuration.
- Willingness to travel frequently and work on hybrid site schedules across India.
Preferred
- Experience with Tridium Niagara or Siemens Desigo platforms.
- Prior exposure to energy-management workflows, DALI lighting control or SCADA integration.
- Certifications in BACnet, HVAC controls, or vendor-specific BMS training.
