Role Description The BMS Operator (Controls) role is a full-time, on-site position located in Bengaluru. The person in this role will monitor and operate the Building Management System (BMS) to ensure optimal performance of HVAC, lighting, power, and other critical building services. Daily responsibilities include tracking system alarms, adjusting control parameters, logging operational data, and reporting irregularities to the maintenance and facilities teams. The role also involves coordinating with technicians for corrective actions, supporting preventive maintenance schedules, and ensuring that building operations meet safety and energy-efficiency standards. The BMS Operator will collaborate with cross-functional teams, follow established SOPs, and maintain accurate documentation of all system-related activities.
Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS), building automation, and controls for HVAC, lighting, and energy management.
  • Ability to monitor system dashboards, interpret alarms, analyze trends, and maintain accurate operational logs.
  • Familiarity with basic electrical and mechanical systems in industrial or commercial facilities, including routine checks and coordination with maintenance staff.
  • Understanding of safety procedures, emergency response protocols, and compliance requirements for facility operations.
  • Diploma or certification in electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, or building automation engineering; relevant technical training is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in facility management, plant operations, or control room monitoring is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in shifts as required by operational needs.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on-site.
