Title: BMS Commissioning Engineer
Location: Mumbai / Chennai / Delhi / Bangalore
Experience: Minimum 3 years in BMS Engineering, Testing & Commissioning
Job Overview:
The BMS Commissioning Engineer is responsible for the design, engineering, testing, and commissioning of Building Management Systems (BMS) and Building Automation Systems (BAS). The role involves working on-site and remotely to ensure systems are configured, tested, and operating as per project requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Engineering & Commissioning
- Design, develop, and commission Building Automation and BMS systems
- Perform system configuration, programming, and integration
- Execute IO Loop checks and functional testing of systems
2. System Integration & Programming
- Develop and configure SCADA, BMS, and HMI graphics
- Work with PLC/DDC controllers and integrate field devices
- Ensure seamless communication between subsystems using standard protocols
3. Testing & Validation
- Conduct site testing, commissioning, and validation activities
- Identify and resolve system issues during commissioning
- Ensure systems meet project specifications and client requirements
4. Technical Support
- Provide technical support during and post-commissioning
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
- Assist clients with system understanding and handover
5. Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare commissioning reports, test documentation, and system manuals
- Ensure compliance with project standards and safety regulations
6. Continuous Improvement
- Stay updated with the latest trends in automation and control systems
- Recommend improvements in system architecture and performance
Key Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of BMS, SCADA, PLC, and DDC systems
- Expertise in communication protocols: BACnet, Modbus, OPC (IP, Ethernet, MS/TP)
- Experience in BMS/SCADA/HMI graphics development
- IO Loop testing and functional testing
- Basic knowledge of SQL/database handling
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and client-handling abilities
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in BMS/SCADA/PLC programming and commissioning
- Exposure to modern automation architectures and smart building technologies
- Hands-on experience in multi-site or large-scale building automation projects
