Blue Planet - Selenium QA lead

We are looking for a Selenium QA Lead with deep expertise in test automation and strong experience working on Blue Planet platform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading QA automation efforts, building and maintaining Selenium test frameworks, and ensuring high quality of software releases through systematic testing practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the QA efforts for testing Blue Planet applications and services.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable test automation frameworks using Selenium (Java/Python).
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and DevOps to ensure comprehensive test coverage and timely delivery.
• Analyze requirements, write detailed test cases, and execute functional, regression, and end-to-end automated test scenarios.
• Perform API testing, data validation, and system integration testing where applicable.
• Identify bugs, log defects, and support triage and resolution.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Coach and mentor junior QA engineers and participate in code reviews and quality audits.
• Provide regular QA metrics and status reporting to stakeholders.

Mandatory Skills:

• 6+ years of experience in Selenium WebDriver test automation.
• Prior experience with the Blue Planet platform (Ciena) or similar OSS/BSS products.
• Strong programming skills in Java or Python.
• Experience in writing automation scripts for web and API testing.
• Experience with TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber or similar test frameworks.
• Proficient in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Maven).
• Strong understanding of SDLC/STLC, Agile, and DevOps practices.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with REST-assured or Postman for API automation.
• Familiarity with Blue Planet Intelligent Automation Suite or network orchestration platforms.
• Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of containerized environments using Docker/Kubernetes.

Education:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
