Job Description – BIW Closures Engineer
Position: BIW Closures Engineer
Experience: 3–8 Years
Location: Pune
Role Overview
Looking for an experienced BIW Closures Engineer with strong expertise in CATIA V5 for automotive body closure design and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and development of BIW closures such as doors, hood, tailgate, decklid, etc.
- Create and modify 3D models and 2D drawings using CATIA V5.
- Perform GD&T, DFM/DFA and engineering analysis.
- Develop components considering fit, function, manufacturability and assembly requirements.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, tooling, suppliers and cross-functional teams.
- Support design changes, issue resolution and engineering change management.
- Ensure designs meet quality, cost and project timelines.
Required Skills
- CATIA V5 – Mandatory
- BIW Closures Design & Development
- Automotive Body-in-White
- 3D Modelling & 2D Drafting
- GD&T & DFM/DFA
- Knowledge of automotive manufacturing and tooling
Eligibility
- 3–8 years of relevant experience in BIW Closures.
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Automobile/Production Engineering preferred.
- Candidates must have hands-on experience in CATIA V5.
Key Requirement: Relevant BIW Closures experience + CATIA V5 is mandatory.
