We are looking for freshers/entry-level candidates to join our team as Biotechnology Medical Coders. This role involves reviewing and coding medical records, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines, and maintaining the integrity of patient data.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze medical records for accurate coding of diagnoses and procedures
- Assign correct codes using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards in medical coding
- Communicate with healthcare professionals to clarify documentation and coding issues
- Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with coding guidelines and updates
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a related field
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Familiarity with coding systems like ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
