Position : BioMedical Engineer (Procurement)
Job Location : Kandla SEZ (Gandhidham)
Job Responsibilities :
- Technical comparison of quotations from different vendors, including preparation of tender compliance sheets.
- Assess and prepare spare part lists for customers based on vendor inputs.
- Collaborate with vendors to prepare assembling and user manuals.
- Prepare offers for After Sales Service agreements for customers.
- Develop and prepare product catalogues.
- Coordinate with the Quality department to inspect orders for release (India only) and manage product release of transit orders based on pictures and documentation.
- Assist the Category Manager in sourcing new vendors, primarily in India.
- Categorize items and create item numbers in the ERP system.
- Provide product training to Procurement and Sales teams.
- Support implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) for Medical Devices.
- Participate in assessment and approval of products (AVL).
- Contribute to developing new suppliers ensuring compliance with ISO, CE, and Medical Product (MP) requirements.
- Review and analyze complaint data, perform root-cause investigations, and establish corrective and preventive action plans (CAPA).
- Develop and execute test methods for product testing and investigations; write and update procedures to ensure quality and safety compliance with regulations.
- Perform any other duties or assignments as requested by the manager.
Desired Profile :
- Engineering (Biomedical)
- 3-4 years on hand experience in Medical Devices in a multispecialty hospital or devices supplier/manufacturer.
- Good knowledge of national and international, quality management systems.
- Extensive knowledge of Bio Medical & Hospital Equipment's Knowledge of predictive & preventive maintenance, installation, commissioning and effective trouble shooting of equipment's.
- Should be good in both written and oral communications including diplomatic discussion of required corrective actions with business partners
- Understand and be oriented towards the ERP system as a tool and use it efficiently within own area of work
