Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Biomedical Engineer role based in Bengaluru. The Biomedical Engineer will support the selection, installation, calibration, and maintenance of medical equipment used in minimally invasive procedures. Daily responsibilities include performing routine inspections, troubleshooting equipment issues, coordinating repairs with vendors, and documenting all maintenance activities. The role involves working closely with clinicians and operating room staff to ensure that devices are safe, reliable, and used according to clinical and regulatory standards. The Biomedical Engineer will also assist in training healthcare professionals on proper equipment use and contribute to continuous improvement of technology-related workflows.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Biomedical Engineering and Clinical Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles in a clinical environment.
• Hands-on experience with Medical Equipment used in surgical and diagnostic settings, including setup, calibration, and functional checks.
• Skills in Equipment Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance, including routine inspections, troubleshooting, and documentation of service activities.
• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Electronics, or a related engineering field; relevant certifications in medical equipment management are an advantage.
• Knowledge of hospital safety standards, regulatory guidelines, and quality management practices related to medical devices.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with clinical teams, prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, and provide clear technical support and training.
• Prior experience in a hospital, surgical center, or medtech company, especially in minimally invasive surgery environments, is preferred.
