Role Description:

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Biomedical Engineer (Fresher) with Maharashtra Emergency Medical Services (108). The role involves supporting the installation, testing, and calibration of medical equipment used in ambulances and emergency care settings.

The Biomedical Engineer will assist with routine equipment checks, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting to ensure reliable performance and compliance with safety standards. Responsibilities include documenting maintenance activities, coordinating with clinical and operations teams, and following established technical and safety protocols. The role also provides exposure to emergency medical systems, field visits, and hands-on learning under the guidance of senior engineers.

Qualifications:

  • Candidates should possess skills in Biomedical Engineering and Clinical Engineering to support safe and effective use of medical equipment in emergency care.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Medical Equipment handling and Equipment Maintenance to assist with installations, inspections, and repairs.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Preventive Maintenance to carry out scheduled servicing and minimise equipment downtime.
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation, or a related discipline.
  • Basic understanding of healthcare safety standards, medical device regulations, and quality procedures.
  • Ability to work on-site across the Pune Division, including occasional field visits, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills; willingness to learn and adapt in fast-paced emergency care environments.
