Role Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Biology Tutor for a full-time remote role. The tutor will actively engage students through structured online sessions, deliver concept-driven lessons for international curricula, and support students in achieving strong academic outcomes by developing analytical and critical-thinking skills.
Responsibilities And Duties
- Deliver live online Biology classes for international curricula (IB / AP / other global boards)
- Explain biological concepts clearly and effectively using real-life examples and case studies
- Build strong conceptual understanding and analytical skills in students
- Design and execute customized lesson plans based on individual learning needs
- Create and share high-quality teaching materials and resources
- Assign, review, and evaluate homework, tests, and practice exercises
- Facilitate engaging classroom discussions to encourage participation
- Provide additional academic support to slow learners when required
- Maintain strong professional relationships with students and parents
- Track, document, and report student progress and performance regularly
Skills Required
- Proven experience teaching Biology for IB, AP, or other international curricula
- Strong understanding of the Biology syllabus across multiple levels
- Ability to simplify complex concepts into easy-to-understand explanations
- Excellent communication and student-engagement skills
- Strong written communication with high attention to detail
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills
- Minimum 2+ years of teaching experience (formal or informal)
- Comfortable teaching students online
- Proactive, adaptable, and student-centric approach to teaching
Timings
- 8 hours a day between 6 AM9 AM and 3 PM11 PM
- Week off can be given on Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday
