Biology Subject Matter Expert (AI Training)

We're looking for biology experts to help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI models being developed by the world's leading AI research labs. Your scientific knowledge will directly shape how AI reasons through complex biological problems — making a real impact on the future of science and technology.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role that fits around your existing schedule. No prior AI experience required — if you have a strong biology background, we'll handle the rest.

What You'll Do
- Design rigorous, advanced biology questions to test and challenge AI performance
- Develop clear, step-by-step solutions with logically sound reasoning
- Evaluate AI-generated responses for scientific accuracy and quality of reasoning
- Identify gaps, errors, and weaknesses in AI outputs across biology domains
- Collaborate with research teams to refine benchmarks spanning undergraduate to Masters-level biology topics
- Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule
Who You Are
- Currently pursuing or holding a Masters degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a closely related field
- Strong scientific reasoning and problem-solving skills across advanced biology domains
- Able to communicate complex concepts clearly and precisely in writing
- Comfortable providing structured, critical feedback
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated
- No prior AI experience required
Nice to Have
- Experience with data annotation, quality evaluation, or research benchmarking
- Familiarity with molecular biology, genetics, cell biology, or related specializations
- Background in academic writing or scientific peer review
