Biology Specialist (Masters/PhDs) - AI Training

About The Role

What if your deep knowledge of genetics, biotechnology, or bioinformatics could directly shape how AI reasons through the most complex problems in life science We're looking for Biology experts — Masters and PhD holders — to help train cutting-edge AI models by designing, solving, and evaluating advanced scientific problems with real-world relevance.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for researchers and scientists who want to put their expertise to work beyond the bench. No prior AI experience needed — just rigorous scientific knowledge and a sharp analytical mind.

What You'll Do

  • Develop, solve, and critically review advanced biology problems spanning genetics, molecular biology, biotechnology, bioinformatics, and related disciplines
  • Design complex, nuanced problem statements that challenge and improve AI model reasoning
  • Evaluate AI-generated scientific content for accuracy, depth, and rigor
  • Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and domain experts across projects
  • Ensure scientific clarity and precision across all deliverables
  • Work independently on task-based assignments — fully on your own schedule

Who You Are

  • Master's or PhD in Biology or a closely related field (Genetics, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, etc.)
  • Strong expertise in at least one core area: genetics, biotechnology, or bioinformatics
  • Comfortable working with Python or R in a research or analytical context
  • Exceptionally clear written communicator — you can explain complex science with precision
  • Detail-oriented and methodical — scientific rigor is second nature to you
  • Fluent in English and based in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, or New Zealand

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data annotation, evaluation systems, or data quality workflows
  • Background in computational biology or multi-omics research
  • Prior involvement in science writing, peer review, or academic publishing
  • Familiarity with AI tools or machine learning concepts as an end user
