Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Bioinformatics personnel to join our dynamic team. The Bioinformatician will play a crucial role in the analysis and interpretation of biological data, with a focus on genomics and next-generation sequencing (NGS) data. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bioinformatics, proficiency in programming languages, and a passion for applying computational methods to address biological questions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain bioinformatics workflows and pipelines for genomics, transcriptomics, and single-cell sequencing data
  • Select and implement appropriate tools, software, and databases for project requirements
  • Use version control systems (GitHub/GitLab) to manage, track, and document pipeline development
  • Perform end-to-end analysis of NGS data, including quality control, alignment, variant calling, annotation, and transcriptomic analysis (bulk and single-cell)
  • Conduct statistical analyses to derive meaningful biological insights
  • Interpret results and prepare high-quality reports and scientific presentations
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize data processing pipelines for efficiency, scalability, and accuracy
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements to enhance performance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical and analytical issues across workflows
  • Prepare detailed analysis reports and maintain clear documentation to ensure reproducibility
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project objectives
  • Conduct training sessions and share best practices, tools, and emerging trends in bioinformatics, genomics, and transcriptomics

Requirements:

Education: Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in bioinformatics, with extensive hands-on experience in NGS data analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience in the analysis of genomics data, particularly NGS datasets.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or others relevant to bioinformatics.

Bioinformatics Tools: Familiarity with a range of bioinformatics tools, algorithms, and databases.

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.

Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and interdisciplinary teams.

Learning Agility: Willingness to stay updated with advancements in bioinformatics and related fields.
