Compensation: Competitive salary commensurate with experience, qualifications, and location. Indicative range: $95,000 – $155,000 (USD equivalent), plus benefits.

Role Overview

We are hiring a Bioinformatics Scientist to design and run computational analyses across genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic data. The role combines deep biological knowledge with strong programming and statistics — turning sequencing data into research insights.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and run bioinformatics pipelines for NGS, RNA-seq, single-cell, or proteomics data

- Conduct statistical analyses on biological datasets and interpret results

- Build reproducible workflows in Snakemake, Nextflow, or comparable tools

- Visualise and communicate findings to biology and product teams

- Collaborate with wet-lab scientists on experimental design

- Contribute to internal tooling, documentation, and data infrastructure

Required Skills and Qualifications

- MS or PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, or related field

- 3+ years in a bioinformatics role

- Strong Python and R skills; familiarity with Bash and HPC workflows

- Hands-on experience with NGS analysis (alignment, variant calling, RNA-seq)

- Working knowledge of cloud platforms and reproducible workflow tools

- Excellent written communication and ability to document analyses clearly
