Role Description The Bima Sakhi Yojana role is a full-time, on-site position located in the Azamgarh division. The role involves engaging with local communities to create awareness about LIC's insurance and financial protection products, particularly those designed for women, families, and low-income groups. Daily responsibilities include meeting prospective customers, explaining policy features and benefits, assisting with proposal forms and documentation, and supporting policyholders throughout the policy lifecycle. The role also includes organizing and participating in outreach activities, coordinating with LIC branch staff, and maintaining accurate records of customer interactions and policy enrollments. The position requires consistent fieldwork, relationship-building with community stakeholders, and adherence to LIC's service and compliance standards.
Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain insurance concepts in clear, simple language.
  • Customer service orientation and relationship-building abilities, especially in community or field-based work.
  • Basic financial literacy and comfort with handling forms, documentation, and simple numerical calculations.
  • Ability to work independently in the field, manage time effectively, and meet outreach and enrollment targets.
  • Familiarity with local language and culture in the Azamgarh division; prior experience in community work or sales is an advantage.
  • Minimum educational qualification as prescribed by LIC for the Bima Sakhi Yojana; higher secondary or graduate level education is preferred.
  • Comfort with using mobile phones or basic digital tools for communication and record-keeping.
  • Commitment to ethical conduct, customer protection, and adherence to LIC policies and regulatory guidelines.
