Key Responsibilities:
BIM Modeling:
- Assist in the development and maintenance of 3D models using BIM software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, ArchiCAD).
- Create and update detailed building models based on design drawings, specifications, and client requirements.
- Ensure that models are accurate, clear, and follow project standards, codes, and industry best practices.
Collaboration & Coordination:
- Work closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather design information and update models as required.
- Assist in the integration of different building systems (e.g., structural, mechanical, electrical) into the BIM model.
- Support project teams in clash detection and resolution using BIM tools to ensure design consistency.
Document Management:
- Maintain version control of models and ensure all project documentation is up to date.
- Generate and maintain drawings, schedules, and other documents from BIM models for review, approval, and construction.
Quality Control & Compliance:
- Ensure BIM models adhere to internal standards and industry regulations.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the models and related documentation.
- Report and address discrepancies between the model and design documentation.
- Support BIM Process Improvement:
- Assist in the development of BIM workflows, standards, and procedures.
- Provide feedback to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the BIM modeling process.
Required Qualifications:
- Educational Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Certification or coursework in BIM software tools (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD) is a plus.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Proficiency in BIM software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD) and other related design tools.
- Basic understanding of building systems (architecture, structural, MEP) and their interaction in the BIM environment.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to ensure accuracy in 3D models.
- Good understanding of BIM standards and industry practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Desired Qualifications/Experience:
- 0-2 years of experience working with BIM tools in architecture, engineering, or construction.
- Experience with software such as Navisworks for clash detection and coordination is a plus.
- Familiarity with construction documentation and project workflows.
- Knowledge of BIM software plugins or add-ons is a bonus.
