About Us
Waterleaf Architects is a growing architecture and interior design studio based in Hyderabad, working across large-scale hospital interiors, bespoke residences, and commercial office spaces. Over the last 3 years we've designed 1.5 million sq. ft. with KIMS Hospitals, and we've just signed on for a further 9 million sq. ft. of hospital interiors — a scale that calls for a stronger, sharper BIM team to match.
We're looking for someone who can both model with precision and lead a team of BIM modellers to deliver consistently high-quality, standardised documentation across projects.
The Role
This is an interior-design-focused BIM position. You'll model and document interior fit-out packages end to end, working within our standardised templates and drawing protocols — and take ownership of your team's output meeting that same standard, every sheet, every time.
All deliverables are issued as Good for Construction (GFC) drawings — accurate, coordinated, and neatly compiled for issue.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain BIM models (Revit) for interior fit-out projects, following office-standard templates and modelling protocols
- Lead, review, and mentor a team of BIM modellers, ensuring consistency in modelling standards and drawing quality
- Compile and issue GFC drawing sets — checked, coordinated, and formatted per office templates
- Coordinate with architects, interior designers, and site teams to resolve clashes and design queries before issue
- Maintain and evolve the firm's BIM standards, templates, and family libraries
- Manage drawing schedules and issue logs to meet project deadlines across multiple concurrent projects
- Conduct QA/QC checks on drawings before they go out for construction
- Onboard and train junior modellers on office workflows and standards
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in BIM modelling for interior design / architecture, with at least 1-2 years in a coordination or team-lead capacity
- Strong command of Revit (interior/architectural workflows); familiarity with Navisworks or similar clash-detection tools is a plus
- Solid understanding of GFC drawing standards, detailing, and construction documentation
- Experience working to standardised office templates and maintaining drawing consistency across a team
- Experience managing or mentoring a small team of modellers
- Strong eye for detail, drawing presentation, and consistency
- Healthcare/hospital interiors or large-scale commercial project experience is a strong plus
- Good communication skills — able to coordinate with design leads, consultants, and site teams
Why Join Us
- Be part of a firm scaling up on marquee projects, including a 9 million sq. ft. hospital interiors contract with KIMS Hospitals
- Work across a diverse portfolio — hospitals, bespoke homes, and commercial offices
- Shape BIM standards and team culture as we grow into a larger, more structured
- studio
- Direct exposure to leadership and project decision-making
