The incumbent will be part of the WSP in India - Netherlands Building Services Team. He/she will carry out the mechanical engineering/BIM services for P & B sector, building projects, etc. The incumbent will work with other BIM engineers and perform Revit modelling and design calculations in coordination with our Netherlands/local engineers.
Responsibilities:
Technical
- Focus on the delivery of high-quality technical design drawings, engineering designs and specifications to the required regulations
- Contribute to technical solutions on projects
- The candidate shall have international project delivery experience on building projects, and Substations buildings experience is an added advantage.
- Initiate and participate in design peer reviews
- Ensure internal quality procedures are followed
- Keep up to date with industry developments todiscipline requirements, and appreciate the basic technical principles and drivers of other disciplines
- Attending project meetings with the various other teams in Bengaluru
Manage project delivery and leadership
- Design, review and deliver high-quality technical mechanical services engineering designs, drawings, specifications, and reports to the required regulations.
- Ensure project programs are met and advise on any foreseen delays
- Participate and support internal multi-discipline knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Identify and flag additional fees to the Senior Engineers, and Team lead.
Key Competencies / Skills:
Mandatory Skills
- The applicants should possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in delivering international projects.
- The role requires involvement in numerous projects from an early stage to providing fit-for-construction stage designs
- The applicant will have proven experience in the HVAC & Plumbing services engineering designs with significant experience in a similar role or demonstration of a good track record.
- Must be good, hands-on with BIM technologies, design calculations such as heat load and ventilation load calculations, duct & pipe sizing and pressure drop calculations
- Must be technically skilledin equipment selection such as ventilation fans, Chillers, AHUs, FCUs, boilers, pumps etc.
- Carry out preparation of technical submittals of various materials, equipment etc.
- Carryout the engineering and modelling ofexternal utility services including plumbing, drainage, gas, and fire hydrantservices
- Proven ability to produce detailed drawings (plans, sections & details) from basic sketches provided by the senior engineers in India and lead country
- Hands-on experience in drafting/3D modelling software like AutoCAD, MEP Revit, HAP etc.
- Excellent working knowledge of REVIT Software (version 2021 and above). Including HVAC and plumbing services modelling, content creation (parametric and non-parametric families), coordination with structural and MEP elements, Revit schedules, managing work sets/ links/ visibilities, sheet setup and collaboration.

- Excellent command of written and verbal English
Desired Skills
- A sound understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Project is essential
- Should possess membership to an accredited engineering body i.e., ISHRAE, ASHRAE, CIBSE, IMechE-UK, European Buildings Codes & Standards
- Work towards achieving EngTech/IEng/Chartered engineer/professional license
- Applicants need to be able to demonstrate good management and technical skills and be capable of working both within the team and independently, as dictated by the workload
- Punctual and able to meet deadlines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Qualifications and other requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 5-8years relevant work experience
- Comprehensive experience in BIM technologies, technical design and associated discipline software/tools experience
