Shift Timing: Morning & Evening Shifts (2 Shifts Rotation)
The BIM Team Coordinator is responsible for managing, coordinating, and ensuring the quality and consistency of Building Information Models across multiple disciplines — Structural, Architectural, and MEP. The role involves leading interdisciplinary coordination, maintaining model standards, facilitating collaboration between teams, and ensuring that BIM deliverables meet project requirements and timelines.
1. BIM Coordination
- Coordinate BIM models across Architecture, Structure, and MEP disciplines.
- Manage clash detection and resolution using tools like Navisworks or BIM 360.
- Ensure compliance with the project's BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and company standards.
- Oversee model integration and data exchange between disciplines.
- Conduct regular model reviews, quality checks, and coordination meetings.
2. Technical Leadership
- Support project teams in creating, updating, and maintaining BIM models in Revit (or other BIM platforms).
- Develop Revit families, templates, and parametric components when required.
- Ensure accurate model setup (coordinates, levels, grids, naming conventions).
- Guide team members in following best practices for model development.
3. Collaboration & Communication
- Liaise between internal teams (Architecture, Structural, MEP) and external consultants or clients.
- Facilitate coordination meetings to identify and resolve interdisciplinary conflicts.
- Communicate project BIM progress, issues, and updates to the BIM Manager and stakeholders.
- Support in preparing model-based presentations or visualizations for design reviews.
5. Training & Support
- Provide BIM training, mentorship, and technical support to team members.
- Stay current with emerging BIM technologies and standards.
