The Mission
Your primary goal is to translate project site requirements into clear, prioritized work packages for the engineering design team. You must possess an exceptional, eagle-eye understanding of structural design drawings to evaluate urgency, spot potential issues early, and ensure the team's total output matches our rapid manufacturing pace.
Key Responsibilities
- Priority & Workflow Management: Take ownership of the engineering team's schedule. Assess incoming project timelines and site urgencies to assign daily and weekly priorities to designers and detailers.
- Drawing & Model Governance: Conduct high-level reviews of structural design drawings and 3D Tekla/AutoCAD models. You must have a strong technical understanding to catch coordination gaps before they disrupt production.
- Cross-Functional Bridge: Serve as the single point of contact between Project Site Teams and the Engineering Department, ensuring that revisions, site data, and client approvals are seamlessly integrated.
- Output Accountability: Monitor the overall output velocity of the engineering team. Ensure Bill of Materials (BOMs) and fabrication drawings are released accurately and on time to feed our shop floor.
Candidate Requirements
- Technical Skill: A profound understanding of engineering design drawings, structural detailing layouts, and Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) component connections.
- Domain Knowledge: Solid familiarity with PEB structural design workflows and structural steel fabrication processes.
- Coordination Toolkit: Strong exposure to model tracking and coordination software (e.g., Tekla Structures, AutoCAD, or Navisworks/Trimble Connect).
- Soft Skills: High-level project management, assertiveness in managing team deadlines, and exceptional communication skills to handle high-priority client and project site pressures.
