Job Description
WSP is currently seeking a BIM / CAD Technician to join our Infrastructure department, located in our Mumbai office. Reporting to the Senior BIM / CAD Technician, in his / her position, he / she will be responsible for applying AutoCAD, Revit and Civil 3D knowledge on project work from conceptual design through to completion. Scope of work typically involves lot grading plan production for commercial and industrial developments including stormwater management and municipal service design drawings like Wet utilities Storm, Sewer, Water and drainage, as well as related roadway / parking lot design drawings under high level guidance. The work involves grading, drawing production, pipe system design drawings for sanitary, storm and water network drawings. The role will include drawing compliance with BIM / CAD Standards and quality output using Civil 3D softwares under high level guidance
Responsibilities
- Production of watermains, piping layouts, profile drawings as per BIM / CAD standards
- Responsible for Preparation of drawings including conceptual sketches and detailed construction drawings, using Autodesk Civil 3D softwares (pipe networks, profiles, alignments, assemblies & sub-assemblies, 3D Feature Lines and Grading Groups) with quality and accuracy under high level guidance
- Responsible for preparation of Revit MEP, HVAC, Electrical models
- Production of drawings to ensure compliance with Client drafting standards and Quality requirements
- Responsible for completing BIM / CAD tasks as directed by the Senior BIM / CAD Technician (or) BIM / CAD Coordinator (or) Engineers
- Responsible for adhering to training requirements and stay abreast in Drafting skills
- Responsible / eager to work in different standards, requirements and prepare engineering drawings to specified standards
- Drafting / Modelling assistance (assist engineers and technologists in completing road/parking lot, storm and sanitary sewer, water main, and grading drawings, 3D Modelling Works). Other duties as assigned like QAQC Compliance
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Under Graduation (or Pursuing) in Civil Engineering Discipline
- 3 8 years of experience in AutoCAD drafting and Autodesk Civil 3D Design
- Strong team player, responsible for quality drawing production and self check of drawings
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines
BGV:
- Employment with WSP India is subject to the successful completion of a background verification (BGV) check conducted by a third-party agency appointed by WSP India.
