We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Billing / Planning / Estimation Engineer to manage project timelines, cost estimations, and vendor billing processes. Key Responsibilities
- Cost Estimation & Budgeting (Quantity Surveying)
- Prepare detailed Quantity Take-offs (QTO) and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) from architectural, structural, and MEPF drawings.
- Conduct precise rate analysis for various construction items (concrete, reinforcement, finishes, etc.) based on current market trends and historical data.
- Assist management in preparing pre-construction project budgets, cash flow projections, and feasibility studies. • Planning & Scheduling
- Develop, monitor, and update master project schedules (Baseline Schedules) using MS Project or Primavera to ensure timely completion.
- Create micro-plans (weekly/monthly schedules) and track daily physical progress against planned targets on site.
- Identify potential schedule delays or critical path bottlenecks and propose corrective actions or resource leveling to the Project Manager. Billing & Valuation Management
- Scrutinize, verify, and certify Running Account (RA) bills, final bills, and deviation claims submitted by contractors and sub-contractors based on actual joint site measurements.
- Prepare client billing/invoicing based on completed milestones and track subsequent collection cycles.
- Manage variation orders, extra items, and non-scheduled item (NSI) rates by evaluating market rates and conducting standard analysis. Material Reconciliation & Cost Control
- Perform periodic material reconciliation (cement, steel, tiles, etc.) by comparing theoretical consumption (as per drawings) against actual site consumption to minimize wastage.
- Prepare Monthly Cost Reports (MCR) and variance analyses comparing actual expenditures against the approved project budget.
Key Requirements
Education: Bachelor's Degree ($B.E./B.Tech$) in Civil Engineering. A post-graduate diploma or degree in Construction Management (e.g., NICMAR) is highly preferred.
Experience: 4–7 years of core experience in billing, estimation, and planning within real estate development or major contracting firms.
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD (for measurement verification), and planning tools like MS Project or Primavera P6.
Core Competencies: Exceptional numerical and analytical ability, thorough knowledge of standard Indian/International measurement codes (e.g., IS 1200), and strong contractual negotiation skills.
