Role Description The Billing and Estimation Engineer will be responsible for preparing detailed estimates, bills of quantities (BOQs), and cost breakdowns for luxury residential projects. This full-time, on-site role in North Goa involves analyzing drawings and specifications, conducting site measurements, and coordinating with design, procurement, and project teams to ensure accurate budgeting and cost control. The role includes preparing and reviewing contractor and vendor bills, validating quantities, and supporting tendering processes with clear cost comparisons and documentation. The Billing and Estimation Engineer will also engage in price negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors, track cost variations, and support management with regular cost reports and forecasts. The position requires close collaboration with construction teams to ensure alignment between estimates, actual work executed, and project timelines.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical foundation with skills in Civil Engineering, including understanding of construction methods, materials, and structural drawings.
  • Proficiency in BOQ preparation and Project Estimation, including rate analysis, cost breakdowns, and quantity take-offs.
  • Ability to conduct structured Research on market rates, materials, and vendors to support accurate and competitive estimates.
  • Effective Negotiation skills for dealing with vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders to secure favorable terms while maintaining quality.
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with estimation and billing in residential or luxury real estate projects is highly desirable.
  • Competence with relevant software tools (e.g., MS Excel, estimation and billing software, CAD reading) and strong numerical accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present cost data clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, integrity in handling financial data, and the ability to work on-site in North Goa on a full-time basis.
