About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Associate & Manager – Life Actuarial Services for a leading Big 4 Advisory team in Mumbai. The role involves managing actuarial consulting engagements for insurance clients across Life, General and Health Insurance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead actuarial consulting engagements and manage end-to-end delivery.
• Work on IFRS 17 / Ind AS 117, statutory valuation, reserving, pricing, capital modelling, business planning, embedded value and financial reporting.
• Review actuarial models, assumptions, methodologies and outputs.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior client stakeholders.
• Manage, mentor and review the work of junior team members.
• Support proposals, business development, client presentations and thought leadership.
• Coordinate with Risk, Finance, Tax, Technology and Assurance teams.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Actuarial Services / Insurance / Reinsurance / Actuarial Consulting.
• Hands-on experience in one or more areas: IFRS 17, Ind AS 117, statutory valuation, reserving, pricing, capital modelling, business planning or financial reporting.
• Strong actuarial modelling and financial modelling skills.
• Experience with data analysis and spreadsheet-based modelling.
• Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Preferred Skills

• Actuarial qualification or progress toward qualification from IFoA, IAI, SOA, CAS or equivalent.
• Indian insurance market experience and knowledge of IRDAI regulations.
• Experience with Prophet, MoSes, Risk Agility FM, AXIS or similar actuarial tools.
• Knowledge of Python, R, SQL, VBA or Power BI.
• Prior experience in Big 4 / actuarial consulting / insurance consulting.
• Experience in proposal writing, client presentations and business development.

Ideal Candidate

Candidates from Big 4, actuarial consulting firms, insurance companies or reinsurance organizations with strong technical actuarial experience and client-facing exposure would be relevant for this role.
