About the Role
We are seeking a self-driven Bid Manager with strong experience in crafting winning proposals for AI/ML or Digital/Technology consulting firms. This is a hands-on, end-to-end role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can independently manage the proposal lifecycle from discovery to submission — with minimal handholding.
What You'll Do & The Impact You'll Have
- Own the entire RFP/RFI/proposal response lifecycle – from requirement analysis, solution coordination, writing, review, submission, and post-submission clarifications. Please note this is not a support role. Expectation is to own the overall lifecycle and execute it.
- Understand technical and business requirements from clients, collaborating with sales, solution architects, delivery leads, and partners to construct tailored responses.
- Maintain and continuously enhance a proposal content repository, including capability decks, boilerplates, case studies, team profiles, CVs, and past performance records.
- Draft and refine executive summaries, win themes, and value propositions aligned with client pain points.
- Ensure compliance with proposal instructions, formatting standards, and deadlines.
- Drive weekly proposal planning meetings and work with cross-functional teams to gather inputs and approvals.
- Identify opportunities for proactive proposals and develop pre-sales assets (SoWs, capability decks, pitch responses).
- Build frameworks and best practices for OBZ's proposal engine and bid management processes.

Must-Have Skills:
- 8+ years of experience in proposal management, or business development roles in AI/ML, Digital, or IT Consulting firms.

- Exceptional written communication skills, especially in structuring complex solution narratives into compelling responses.
- Strong stakeholder management – ability to extract inputs from tech and business teams.
- Comfortable working under pressure and managing multiple RFPs concurrently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and PowerPoint; familiarity with proposal automation or content management tools is a plus.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Exposure to Cloud (especially AWS) and modern data/AI stack is a strong advantage.
- Experience with ASEAN or international clients and large enterprise RFPs.
- Ability to build pitch documents and assist in oral presentations alongside the sales or partner team.
- Understanding of commercial structures, pricing models, and standard T&Cs in consulting proposals.
