Job Description

Position: Bid Manager

Department: Business Development

Location: Bengaluru

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Identifying opportunities for bid submissions and raising them with the bid management team.
  • Conducting research and brainstorming key points to include in the bid.
  • Consolidate sections and/or documents developed by others team members into the required tender format.
  • Coordinate proposal input from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from sales, solutioning, marketing, product teams, finance, commercial, legal and project delivery.
  • Crafting persuasive and detailed proposals - Production and delivery of compliant, professionally produced proposals within customer defined timeframes.
  • Ensure proposal documents follow corporate branding guidelines, standard formatting and quality standards.
  • Performing risk assessments and addressing concerns of clients and company staff.
  • Ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Liaising with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Keeping track of all costs and managing budgets.
  • Working closely with project managers, design managers, estimators, and senior personnel.
  • Conducting team briefings once bids have been secured
  • Manage bid timetable to ensure bid team members respond in line with bid plan with bid plan and that all deadlines are met and that bids are submitted on time and in the correct manner.
  • Review bid documents and pull together previous relevant bids, best practice answers from bid portal and systems.
  • Sound knowledge of different types of contracts.
  • Coordinate with Business excellence team & client for day-to-day activities.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, or another relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience required.
  • Exposure to preparing bid is an advantage.
  • Excellent industry knowledge and a willingness to keep up with trends.
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
