Job Description -Operational Head for Bicycle Export Unit

Qualification: B.Tech / MBA (Operations / Supply Chain preferred)
Key Responsibilities
1. Cross-Functional Leadership
- Align RM, P.P.C, Purchase, Production, Quality, and Dispatch for seamless execution.
- Drive operational excellence initiatives across departments.
- Lead and mentor departmental heads and all the operational teams.
- Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and compliance standards.
2. Raw Material (RM) & Inventory Management
- Plan and control RM availability in line with production and export commitments along with PPC team.
- Define safety stock, Bench marking, and lead-time planning to optimize working capital.
- Drive reduction in inventory aging, obsolescence, and carrying cost.
- Ensure seamless coordination between Stores, PPC, Production, and Quality.
3. Procurement / Purchase & Strategic Sourcing (One employee for Costing will be recruited and VD department will be introduced if we will start the sale of 10cr. Despatch/month)
- Lead end-to-end procurement including strategic sourcing, negotiations, contracting, and supplier performance management.
- Develop and rationalize vendor base aligned with export quality and compliance standards.
- Drive cost reduction, localization, dual sourcing, and value engineering initiatives.
- Establish long-term sourcing strategies for critical components and bought-outs parts.
4. Finished Goods (FG) & Dispatch Operations
- Ensure strict adherence to customer-specific packing norms, bar coding, and compliance requirements.
5. Production Planning & Control (PPC)
- Lead PPC functions covering forecasting, capacity planning, line balancing, and sequencing.
- Align sales forecasts, RM procurement, production plans, and dispatch commitments.
- Monitor daily and monthly plan vs actuals and initiate corrective actions.
6. Process Excellence & Digital Enablement
- Drive Lean, Kaizen, 5S, First Time Right product and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Establish SOP and performance dashboards across functions with help of QMS department if required.
7. Team Leadership & Governance
- Lead and develop multi-functional teams across PPC, Procurement, Stores, Dispatch coordination.
- Build strong second-line leadership and succession plans.
- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability and execution excellence.
