BI Developer

About the Job: FedTec is seeking a BI Developer with 1–3 years of experience in Power BI, SQL, Power Automate, and SharePoint Online. The role involves building dashboards, automating workflows, and supporting data solutions while collaborating with US-based stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills, Excel expertise, and willingness to work US Eastern Time overlap hours are required.

Title: BI Developer

Location: Remote (India)

Working Hrs : 6:30pm IST to 4am IST

Required qualifications

• 1–3 years of hands-on experience in BI development, Power Platform development, or junior data engineering
• Power BI — demonstrable experience building dashboards, working with DAX, connecting to data sources
• SQL — comfortable writing queries, joins, and aggregations
• Power Automate — at least basic flow building (triggers, actions, conditions, error handling)
• SharePoint Online — site columns, lists, document libraries, basic permissions
• Excel — power user level (pivots, lookups, formulas)
• Strong technical fundamentals — data modeling basics, comfortable debugging systematically
• Eager, fast learner — comfortable being thrown into unfamiliar systems with documentation
• Good written and spoken English; able to work directly with US-based stakeholders
• Willing to work US Eastern Time overlap hours on a sustained basis

Preferred qualifications

• Power Apps (canvas or model-driven)
• Python or basic scripting for data manipulation
• Any exposure to ERP data (SAP, Oracle, Deltek, NetSuite, etc.)
• Microsoft certifications: PL-900 (fundamentals), PL-300 (Power BI), PL-400 (developer)
• GitHub portfolio or personal projects

Responsibilities

• Build Power BI dashboards for project burn/waterfall, past performance search, open requisitions
• Configure SharePoint site columns, document metadata schema, and lists
• Build Power Automate flows for alerts, tagging, and routine workflows
• Pull and integrate data from Deltek Costpoint, SharePoint, and the recruiting tool
• Test, debug, document, and iterate based on user feedback
• Provide basic user support and produce simple training materials
