Job Description

Job Responsibility:

  • De-coding of design philosophy of competitor's vehicle in customer's perspective
  • Study of interior trims, NVH parts integration with other systems
  • Cost weight analysis and performance evaluation of interior trims, NVH parts systems
  • System analysis summary reporting support to engineering team
  • Sharing release of benchmarking sheets analysis summary reports
  • Analysis of benchmarking ideas for implementation in Maruti models
  • Study of upcoming technology through benchmarking activities; work along with engineering team

Competency Requirements:

Experience of design / development / testing in at least one domain area in any of the following:

  • Instrument panel, interior trims integration with other systems
  • Floor carpets, rooflining NVH parts packaging
  • Seating systems
  • HVAC systems

Additional Technical Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of vehicle interior/exterior systems, their basic functions, and design concept evaluation on vehicle
  • Understanding of sheet metal, plastic, rubber parts
  • Understanding of performance, safety, regulatory requirements, testing procedures of body interior systems/subsystems
  • Understanding of engineering materials, manufacturing processes, tooling, cost estimation etc.

  • Leadership skills, coaching/mentoring/grooming members
