BeBetta is building Indias ultimate commerce rewards platform. We are transforming how millions of users interact with their everyday spending by turning offline and online commerce into rewarding experiences. Users earn rewards seamlessly by scanning and uploading shopping bills, linking accounts like Gmail or consumer apps (e.g., Swiggy, Zepto), and playing casual games on the platform.
To power this ecosystem, we need a strong backend foundation capable of handling massive daily data ingestion, transactional data parsing, fraud prevention, high-concurrency reward distribution, and streaming-grade reliability.
As a Senior Backend & Infrastructure Engineer (Golang), you will design and build scalable backend systems, contribute to microservices architecture decisions, and ensure our services remain performant and resilient under high throughput. You will play a key role in strengthening our Go-based distributed architecture as we scale to power the future of commerce rewards.
What Youll Achieve
- Architect & Build High-Performance Platform Engines :
- Design and build core Go-based microservices that power bill processing pipelines, app integrations, and gaming backends.
- Develop resilient, high-throughput RESTful APIs and real-time backend services capable of processing large volumes of user activity data.
- Solve Concurrency, Consistency & Fraud Challenges :
- Build systems that manage thousands of concurrent user uploads, real-time app syncs, and instant reward calculations.
- Ensure data accuracy, strict ledger consistency, and low-latency response times while guarding against double-dipping or fraud.
- Design efficient database schema and data access patterns for heavy read/write loads.
- Contribute to Core Architecture :
- Evolve and optimize our Go-based microservices architecture.
- Define clean service boundaries, secure API integrations for third-party platforms, and establish standard design contracts.
- Drive code quality, system performance, and maintainability across team repositories.
- Technical Leadership & Mentorship :
- Lead and mentor junior and mid-level backend engineers through detailed code reviews, design docs, and engineering best practices.
- Build for Reliability & Scale :
- Design services that meet strict SLA availability and processing latency targets.
- Optimize relational and key-value database efficiency under high data ingestion rates.
- Production Ownership :
- Take ownership of service stability, uptime, and system visibility.
- Enhance logging, APM monitoring, and alerting frameworks; participate in incident resolution and postmortems.
What Youll Bring
- 6 - 10 years of backend engineering experience building production systems.
- Strong hands-on production experience in Golang (mandatory).
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and design fundamentals.
- Practical experience building and securing RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures.
- Strong proficiency with PostgreSQL (query optimization, indexing) and Redis (caching, lock management) or equivalent platforms.
- Experience with Docker and containerized deployment workflows.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes-based deployments, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure (GCP/AWS).
- Experience with concurrency patterns, rate limiting, and handling high-volume consumer traffic.
- Strong debugging, system profiling, and performance optimization skills.
