As we scale, were looking for a Head of Engineering to own our technical vision and lead the team building the future of gaming.
Role Overview
The Head of Engineering will define and execute Bebettas engineering strategy, driving the development of scalable, high-performance applications across backend, mobile, and web platforms.
This role blends technical leadership, people management, and hands-on execution, ensuring Bebetta stays ahead in a fast-moving gaming ecosystem while delivering exceptional player experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Leadership :
- Define Bebettas long-term technical vision, architecture, and engineering best practices.
- Build and maintain a scalable technology roadmap covering infrastructure, tools, and team growth.
- Partner with leadership to translate business goals into clear, executable engineering plans.
People Leadership
- Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing engineering team.
- Set clear ownership, expectations, and growth paths for engineers.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and engineering excellence.
Technical Leadership (Hands-On)
- Architect and scale backend systems using Node.js and Golang to support high concurrency and real-time experiences.
- Lead native mobile development on Android (Kotlin) and iOS (Swift) with a strong focus on performance and reliability.
- Drive modern, responsive web applications using React.js.
- Stay hands-on with code reviews, architecture decisions, and complex problem-solving.
Product-Led Engineering
- Work closely with product teams to align technical solutions with player needs and business priorities.
- Balance rapid iteration with long-term scalability, stability, and maintainability.
Data-Driven Execution
- Use metrics and analytics to monitor system health, improve performance, and optimize engineering workflows.
Requirements
Must-Have :
Experience
- 8+ years of experience in product-focused software development.
- 2+ years in an engineering leadership role.
Technical Expertise
- Strong backend expertise in Node.js and Golang
- Deep understanding of native mobile development (Kotlin & Swift).
- Expertise in React.js for scalable web applications.
- Solid experience with system architecture, scalability, and distributed systems.
Leadership & Ownership
- Proven ability to build, lead, and mentor engineering teams.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Hands-On Mindset
- Actively contributes to code and technical problem-solving.
- Sets a high bar for engineering quality.
Product Thinking
