Our Mechanical Solutions & Services team in Chennai is growing, and we are looking for an experienced Bearing Specialist to strengthen our engineering capabilities.

Based at our office in Chennai, you will become part of the international DIS/CREADIS Group, working closely with colleagues and customers across Europe, North America and Asia. Together, we deliver advanced mechanical engineering and consultancy services to clients within renewable energy, defence, industrial manufacturing and other technology driven industries.

As a consultant, you will contribute throughout the product lifecycle, from concept development and design to verification, certification and operational optimisation. Your work will help customers solve complex engineering challenges where reliability, performance and technical excellence are essential.

The Role

As a Bearing Specialist, you will join our Mechanical Solutions & Services team and work on projects where bearing performance, mechanical reliability and system integration are critical.

You will combine technical expertise with customer collaboration across both consultancy assignments and engineering solution projects. Your work will influence technical decisions from concept development and supplier dialogue to validation and implementation, helping customers develop reliable and robust mechanical solutions.

Your Responsibilities

• Perform bearing sizing, selection and verification for complex mechanical systems
• Analyse bearing performance, including fatigue life, lubrication, thermal behaviour and load distribution
• Develop and validate bearing concepts while ensuring successful integration into complete mechanical systems
• Collaborate with customers and suppliers on technical solutions, specifications and performance verification
• Perform engineering calculations using analytical methods and supplier tools
• Present technical recommendations in customer meetings, design reviews and supplier discussions
• Support testing activities and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering methods

You likely bring

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline together with experience in bearing application engineering
• Solid knowledge of bearing selection, sizing, fatigue behaviour, lubrication and tribology
• Experience with engineering calculations, supplier tools and relevant industry standards
• An understanding of how bearings interact within complete mechanical systems
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with international customers and colleagues in English
• A practical, analytical mindset with a genuine interest in solving technical challenges
