Job Description

A Business Development Executive (BDE) in medical devicesidentifies new opportunities, builds client relationships (hospitals, clinics, distributors) for cutting-edge tech, pitches customized solutions, negotiates deals, and drives revenue growth by understanding market trends, collaborating internally (marketing, product), and achieving sales targets, requiring strong communication, negotiation, and deep healthcare industry knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market & Lead Generation: Research target markets, generate leads via networking, cold calling, events, and prospecting.
  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with healthcare providers, key opinion leaders, and partners.
  • Sales & Strategy: Develop and execute strategic plans, deliver compelling presentations, and customize solutions to client needs.
  • Negotiation & Closing: Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to secure profitable deals.
  • Collaboration: Work with marketing, product, and clinical teams for seamless product launch and delivery.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics.
  • Reporting: Track sales performance, maintain CRM records, and report on progress.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (often preferred).
  • Experience: Proven BDE/sales experience, ideally in medical devices or healthcare.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of medical terminology, healthcare regulations (like FDA, etc.), and market trends.
  • Core Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Attributes: Self-motivated, results-oriented, professional, adaptable, and able to work under pressure.
