Primary Job Title (standardized): Education Counselor

We partner with institutes and ed-tech programs to convert inquiries into enrolments and deliver high-quality counselling experiences. Role & Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound and outbound student enquiries; evaluate educational goals and recommend appropriate programs and pathways.
  • Manage the end-to-end admissions funnel lead qualification, needs assessment, application support, follow-ups and conversion to enrolment.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records in the CRM; update progress, schedule callbacks, and generate regular MIS reports for team leads.
  • Conduct on-site counselling and admission sessions, parent interactions, and cohort onboarding as required.
  • Meet individual conversion and quality metrics through consultative counselling and structured follow-up strategies.
  • Collaborate with marketing and operations to escalate prospective student feedback and improve conversion workflows.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (any discipline) freshers welcome.
  • Proven telephone and face-to-face counselling capability or demonstrable interest in student advising roles.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce, Zoho CRM) and basic MS Excel for tracking and reporting.
  • Ability to manage multiple enquiries, prioritise leads and maintain disciplined follow-up routines.
  • Comfortable working on-site with target-driven KPIs and daily/weekly reporting cadence.
  • Fluency in English and at least one regional language relevant to the assigned centre.

Preferred

  • Experience in education counselling, college admissions, or ed-tech student acquisition.
  • Knowledge of program structures (UG/PG/diploma) and standard admission processes across Indian institutes.
  • Prior experience working with lead-generation channels and conversion optimisation practices.
