Battery Development Engineer (Product Maintenance)

Experience: 05 to 08 years

Qualification: B. Tech / M. Tech in Mechanical engineering / Automobile engineering or Similar

Roles & Responsibilities:

The role operates in a high-paced environment related to Change management of Battery packs for Global initiatives with significant business impact.

It requires strong drive, ownership, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams towards decisions with strict deadlines. The role requires the confidence to challenge stakeholders, find alternate solutions and escalate issues to ensure progress and project completion.

- Lead cross-functional assignments in Battery across R&D, Production, Purchasing, Aftermarket, and Field Quality.

- Drive progress in situations with unclear root causes and conflicting stakeholder priorities

- Build and leverage a global network to ensure fast issue resolution and decision-making

- Actively escalate risks, deviations, and blockers to ensure transparency and maintain speed

- Define scope, timing, and priorities for each assignment in alignment with business needs

- Lead the team towards a balanced technical solution, optimizing time, cost, risk, and resources

- Prepare and drive decision-making in relevant forums

- Ensure structured tracking and governance using TRATON processes and systems.

- Drive industrialization progress using Change management process and tools.

Project assignment lead is responsible for global battery development initiatives linked to field quality, improvements, change management and cost reduction.

Must Have:

- Project management experience

- Basic Knowhow of Battery Packs in Automobiles

- Experience in overall Product development process in Automotive

- Excellent Communication Skills in English (German knowledge is good to have)

- Structured approach and good documentation process knowhow

- Willingness for Short term travel to TRATON Global locations based on need.
