Battery Development Engineer (Design)

Qualification: B. Tech / M. Tech in Mechanical engineering / Automobile engineering or Similar

Experience: 1 to 4 years

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Documentation updates during development phase and field updates (bill of material, drawings)

- Maintenance & update of product documentation (e.g. handling and integration guideline)

- Coordination with cross functional team for battery system requirements.

- Creation of the 3D Casting, Sheet Metal components of Battery in CATIA.

- Creation of Manufacturing drawing using CATIA drafting environment.

- To perform FMEA of the battery components.

- To perform tolerance stack up analysis with good understanding of GD & T.

- Select materials (aluminum, steel, composites) based on strength, weight, cost, and thermal requirements.

Required Skills:

- Good Knowhow of Battery pack components and e-mobility system (Commercial Truck & Bus)

- Knowledge of casting, sheet metal, extrusion & machining processes.

- Knowhow of design guidelines for designing HV system.

- Advanced knowledge of CATIA V5 (modelling, drafting & analysis environment) is must.

- Familiarity with IP sealing standards and environmental testing

- Understanding of thermal and structural fundamentals.

- Good analytical skills are must.

- Good Communication skills.
