Role Overview
As the Barista at our takeaway kiosk, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality coffee and
beverages while managing daily kiosk operations. Since this is a compact team setup, your role covers
both beverage preparation and customer service, ensuring speed, consistency, and a welcoming
experience for every guest.
Key Responsibilities
Coffee & Customer Service
- Prepare and serve espresso-based and brewed beverages with consistency and speed.
- Operate espresso machines, grinders, and related equipment confidently.
- Take orders, process payments, and handle POS independently.
- Greet customers warmly and provide quick, friendly service.
Kiosk Operations
- Open and close the kiosk, including setup, calibration, and cleaning routines.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the counter, equipment, and service area.
- Restock beans, milk, cups, and other supplies during the shift.
- Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure food items are stocked and ready for takeaway.
Inventory & Reporting
- Track daily usage of coffee, milk, and consumables.
- Receive vendor deliveries and check quality/quantity.
- Report shortages, wastage, or maintenance issues to the owner.
Skills & Qualifications
- Prior barista experience preferred, but training can be provided.
- Ability to multitask between brewing, customer service, and kiosk operations.
- Strong sense of speed, efficiency, and attention to detail.
- Basic POS and cash handling skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for coffee and learning new skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for 6–8 hours.
- Comfortable working in a compact kiosk environment.
- Ability to lift 10–15 kg (milk crates, bean bags, supplies).
